ERA Directors

Mr Chris Salisbury, BEng, was appointed a Director of the ERA Board and Chief Executive Officer of ERA in February 2007. In July 2008 Chris resigned as Chief Executive to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer - Northern Territory for Rio Tinto Alcan Bauxite & Alumina, and was invited to remain on the ERA Board as director. Chris joined the Rio Tinto Group of companies in 1988 and spent most of his early career with Comalco in a range of operating roles at NZAS in New Zealand. From 1998 – 2001, he worked as Manager of the Kooragang Terminal at Port Waratah Coal Services, and was appointed General Manager at Mount Thorley/Warkworth Coal mine in the Hunter Valley, in June 2001. In December 2004, Chris was appointed GM Operations, Ranger Mine, Energy Resources of Australia Ltd, responsible for managing all aspects of ERA's mining and processing operations.
