Professor Helen Garnett
Professor Helen Garnett, was appointed a Director of the ERA Board in January 2005. Professor Garnett is Vice-Chancellor of Charles Darwin University in the Northern Territory, a role she assumed in October 2003. Prior to this role, Professor Garnett was the Executive Director of the Australian Nuclear Science & Technology Organisation (ANSTO). She was born in Australia and educated at the University of Sydney, where she gained first class Honours for her Bachelor of Science degree in 1969. Professor Garnett attended the University of London, and the University of Wales, where she completed her Doctor of Philosophy in 1974. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
