Pretty in pink for a cause

18 Dec 2017

Members of Energy Resources of Australia's Ranger Women’s Network have swapped their regular orange high-vis shirts for bright pink as part of an initiative to help raise awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

The NBCF is the only national body that funds life-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer facing Australian women, with eight women dying from the disease each day — mothers, sisters, wives, daughters and friends.

By coordinating through Bisley Workwear, a donation from the purchase of every pink shirt ordered by the Ranger Women’s Network went to the NBCF.

The Ranger Women’s Network aims to provide support, mentoring and encouragement to women who work at ERA. It recognises those who champion gender diversity and makes available information to inform its members about gender diversity issues, strategies and statistics. The Ranger Women's Network also organises a variety of events and activities during the year for members.
