Our environment

ERA’s primary objectives and legislated responsibilities have always been to prevent impact of operations to the surrounding Kakadu National Park and minimise impact on Ranger Project Area and Jabiluka Lease. There are a range of internal and external environmental monitoring programs in place at the Ranger mine which has been operating since 1980 without detriment to the surrounding environment of the World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park.  (See Supervising Scientist Division website.)
