The National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) is an internet database designed to provide the community, industry and government with information on the types and amounts of certain chemicals being emitted to the environment.
Each year ERA is required to collate information on its Ranger and Jabiluka operations relating to use, handling and emissions to air, land and water of substances listed in the NPI.
It should be noted that the vast majority of calculations undertaken for the purposes of calculating NPI emissions were taken from relevant Emissions Estimation Techniques (EET) Manuals. Since the EETs are designed to calculate emissions at source, actual emissions at the Ranger Project Area boundary may be less than emissions predicted in the results for this report.
Data relating to ERA’s operations has been provided to the National Pollutant Inventory for inclusion on their public database.
